1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?
No. But I need a coffee in the morning for a great show day.
2. TV-show guilty pleasure?
“The Mentalist.”
3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do?
Though there are several things that could be reviewed, if I were president of AKC I would have the organization be more proactive in addressing poor sportsmanship, including on social media. In a sport that needs new exhibitors, breeders and a young generation, everyone could do better.
4. Most valued material possession?
My espresso machine. I love it!
5. What is something no one would guess about you?
I am passionate about gastronomy.
6. Who would you compare yourself to?
No one. Comparison is the thief of all joy.
7. What are you “famous” for?
For being the person who always forgets where they put their wallet.
8. What website do you visit most often?
Netflix.
9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it?
My most memorable wins would be one as a handler, and one as an owner. This past Westminster winning the Miniature Schnauzer breed under judge Mr. Ed Fojtik, and then placing second in the group under judge Ms. Patty Keenan with “Remy.” In addition, winning the 2019 Miniature Schnauzer National at Schnauzerpolooza with my own personal dog “Pepe,” who was the last dog my mentor Bev Verna gave me.
10. What do you wish someone would ask you?
I’d love it if someone asked me about my dreams and goals. It’s nice to reflect on where I’m heading.
