| Sponsor Your Own Unique Canine Sculpture DOGNY gives you a unique opportunity to support an indispensable part of America…by sponsoring one of 300 unique life-size sculptures that portray Search and Rescue Dogs. For three months, these sculptures will grace the streets of New York City to commemorate the valiant efforts of Search and Rescue Dogs and their handlers on September 11. At the end of the exhibit, you may choose to purchase your sponsored sculpture…or have it sold at auction. You Choose The Design & The Artist Perhaps you’d like to communicate something special with your sponsored DOGNY sculpture. Maybe you know an artist who would be ideal for the dog you sponsor. As a sponsor, you’re welcome to work with that artist to submit original designs. Or you can choose from the designs submitted by hundreds of independent artists. It’s your choice! A Plaque Recognizes Your Participation At The AKC, we feel it’s important to let the world know who has taken a stand to support canine Search and Rescue. So, on each DOGNY sculpture, we will place a plaque with the name of the sponsor, the name you choose for your dog and the artist’s name. It’s a small way to say thank you for your generosity in support of so worthy a cause. Contributions Go To Canine Search and Rescue Organizations All net proceeds from the sponsorship and sale of DOGNY sculptures will go to volunteer and professional Search and Rescue Dog organizations in New York City and all across America through The AKC CAR Canine Support and Relief Fund, a fully tax deductible 501(c)(3) charity. Our goal: to raise over $2 million. That will only happen with your support. $10,000 sponsors one DOGNY sculpture; after the exhibit, you may add it to your permanent collection for an additional $3,500. And all sponsorship fees are 100% tax deductible. |
