A Decision or Diversion

After weeks of silence, it is alleged that the AKC Board will have a secret meeting today that will put Gina DiNardo, the longtime Executive Secretary, into the position of acting CEO. We repeat — acting CEO — while there is a search for a new president and CEO. Why Gina was not chosen initially and moved into the position for which she has been waiting for decades surprises most, if not all. But no matter what the Board’s decision, their behavior and their indecision and their reluctance to announce any decision they might have made or will make is just a sad example of the leadership of the Board and those on it.
