Sire: Ch. Deja Vu Instant Success
Dam: Ch. Apropos Deja Vu Moon Unit PT)
Number One Briard All Systems*
Couple the patronage of fanciers Steve and Lynn Bernard of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with the breeding program of Terry Miller of Deja Vu Briards, and the results are bound to rock the Briard world.
In 2003 and 2004 our flagship effort culminated in Multiple Best In Show wins, Specialty wins, Number One Briard All Systems and a Westminster group placement accomplished with Ch. Deja Vu Ruffles Have Ridges PT (Sassy). We are proud to note that Westminster 2004 marked the fifth Deja Vu Briard group placement at the Garden; before Sassy, it was her famous sire, Ch. Deja Vu In Like Flynn CD PT, top winning Briard of all time and recent three time National Specialty winner.
And then, in April the Deja Vu baton was passed to Ch. Deja Vu Purple People Eater (Violet). Racing off the line, Violet, in six short months, has shattered the bitch Best In Show record, which was formerly held by the gorgeous Ch. Jennie D'el Pastre, owned and shown by our guides, our friends, our best supporters, Art and Mary Lou Tingley. From 1978 Jennie's record withstood the efforts of all comers, including our own multiple Best In Show bitches, Tinsel, Every Little Breeze, House on Fire, and Ruffles Have Ridges (Westminster placers, all four of them).
We burst with pride at our accomplishments and the family of dogs we have created, from Ch. Deja Vu Four Leaf Clovertop brood bitch of all time with 21 Champions, repeated years of Number One Briards, eight Best In Show Briards, many National Specialty wins, over 150 championsto Best In Show record holders Ch. Deja Vu In Like Flynn CD PT and his granddaughter, Ch. Deja Vu Purple People Eater.
We look with gratitude to our history with dogs and people who have paved the way for us breed fanciers to bring the modern Briard to the American dog show world and to revel in its status as a contender. We are humbled by those who went before us and aware that none of our success could have happened without their dedication to the Briard. The Tingleys’ decades of sacrifice and devotion set a fine example for us all. Likewise, handler and sometime co-breeder Regina Keiter brings unflagging dedication along with talent and skills that evidence her having grown up in the breed.
Violet is currently Number One All Systems. She is the dam of seven Champions, including two Group Winners, both from the classes, Winners Bitch and Reserve Winners Bitch at the 2003 National, and is obsessed with cats, squirrels, sheep and chipmunks, not necessarily in that order.
