From the beginning, Klassy has been a force to be reckoned with.
Her first Group Placement came at just six months of age under Hound Judge Ms. Joy Brewster. The following month she won the puppy Sweepstakes Group at the Hudson River Valley Hound Association, under Judge Dr. Francis Broadway.
At ten months old Klassy won the Puppy Sweepstakes at the 2005 Basenji Club of America National Specialty under Basenji Breeder-Judge Mrs. Pat Cembura, Arubmec Basenjis, and received an Award of Merit from Judge Mrs. James Edward Clark.
Klassy won Best of Breed at the 2006 Basenji Club of America National Specialty under All Breed Judge and Basenji Breeder-Judge Mrs. Cheryl Myers-Edgerton, Conamore Basenjis.
Now, in 2007 Klassy has begun her specials career in earnest. With handler Russella Bowen-Wilkerson, Klassy has added All Breed and Specialty Best in Shows to her already impressive list of accomplishments. She is the NUMBER ONE Basenji, All Systems, winning in the toughest competition from coast to coast. What a year it has been!
Klassy is just the second Tri Color Basenji bitch to earn a Best in Show in the U.S.
