Mondrian, my smiling Dutchman, is having a wonderful year! It began with my spot showing him January & February while I continued my recovery from knee surgery, and several back procedures. In very few shows Mondrian won two All-Breed Best In Shows.
Yes, indeed we were off to a good year!
What, you ask, do the judges most admire about Mondrian?
1. When they walk down the line in the breed ring they stare and often smile when they see his lovely plush head, large eyes and melting expression.
2. When we go around the ring they quickly notice his beautiful movement; how easily he covers ground, he’s always out there in front with exquisite reach and drive. No wonder I say “Movement is Art”. In fact two of his Best In Shows were awarded by Sporting Judges.
3 When on the table the judges feel and see his excellent structure, his well laid back shoulders, level top line and tail set. When they take that final hands-on look they notice that he is not trimmed or altered in any manner.
Mondrian is a very sporting Cavalier who loves the show ring as well as the Agility & Rally rings. And, he’s always ready with a delicious kiss for those who admire him.
