It seems that PRINCE WILLIAM and his wife the DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE bred their Cocker Spaniel, and they were criticized for not adopting a shelter dog. It seems QUEEN CAMILLA adopted a shelter dog and they thought the prince should follow suit.  I guess they don't realize that QUEEN CAMILLA has Jack Russell Terriers and that her husband KING CHARLES, like his mother QUEEN ELIZABETH II before him, is the patron of the ROYAL KENNEL CLUB. ...
