Dog-sport involvement: Handler, breeder, owner, trainer, CGC evaluator

1. Do you have any dog-show superstitions?  

Yes, I have to have three rubber bands and try not to check group order until I win breed. 

 

2. TV-show guilty pleasure? 

“Friends.”

 

3. If you were president of AKC for one day, what would you do? 

Require any aspiring professional handlers to apprentice under a handler for a minimum of two years before they're allowed to market themselves as a "professional handler."

 

4. Most valued material possession? 

My Best in Show necklace that my mom gave me.

 

5. What is something no one would guess about you? 

That I'm actually rather shy until you get to know me ... despite appearing as the opposite.

 

6. Who would you compare yourself to? 

My mom. She was my best friend, my role model. I always aspired to make her proud as she introduced me to this sport as a child and instilled my love of dogs and dog shows. I hope she is shining down on me with pride. 

 

7. What are you “famous” for?

Being known as a non-BS kind of person who loves her dogs and takes no crap. Oh, and my dresses and my lashes!

 

8. What website do you visit most often?

Amazon.

 

9. What was more memorable, your most satisfying win or disappointing defeat? And what was it? 

Definitely my most satisfying win ... winning Best in Show on my personal pet, my Corso, Binny. I'll never forget that day!

 

10. What do you wish someone would ask you? 

"Where can I take you on an all-expense paid vacation?"
