It’s spring and love is in the air, especially in Wisconsin, where professional handler DEVON KIPP and Chesapeake Bay Retriever breeder and exhibitor ADAM LEVY were married. DEVON of course is the daughter of professional handler SUSAN DEPEW and SCOTT KIPP. The newlyweds reside in Wisconsin, so there was a major entry in KIPPS in attendance, including CHRIS & DYLAN KIPP KEITH and grandparents MARETH & FRED KIPP, as well as the groom’s parents ELSIE & MARTY LEVY from Long Island, New York. Other guests included KELTON HATTON, JEN & RANDY HOFFMAN, NIKKI RYAN, DIANE BAKER, FRAN SMITH, SABRING CZARAPATA, ELAINE LESSIG and SABRING RUNDLE. The American Kennel Club has announced that GREG MCCARTHY has been hired as the newest field representative. GREG is well known in the Sporting group for his successes with English and Gordon Setters. He will relocate from Connecticut to the Pacific Northwest, where he will be based. Though their dog activities have lessened, MARTIN recently had his fourth book, “Train To Outslug The Market,” about the stock market published. MARTIN draws on his very successful 60-year career on Wall Street. ...
Following the election of the new board members at the March annual delegates meeting, the custom was for the board – including the newly elected board members – to vote on the executive officers of the kennel club. But for the last several years smarter brains have prevailed, and it was put off until the April board meeting so that the new board members could acquaint themselves with the executive officers. So, no surprise, re-elected were DENNIS SPRUNG, president and CEO; GINA DINARDO, executive secretary, and THEODORE PHILLIPS, chief financial officer.
