Question of the Week

How are you planning on spending the holidays?

Polly Smith

St Stephens Church, Virginia

I am looking forward to spending Christmas with my son and his family. The best time of the year. I wish everyone a wonderful holiday and lots of toys for our pets.

Sue Klinckhardt-Gardner

Palmdale, California

Having a quiet Christmas at home with family — two-legged and four-legged — and getting ready for the Palm Springs extravaganza!

Laura Coomes

Ocala, Florida

We have Dane and Frenchie babies due and are building a new barn for training classes.

John and Kathy Ronald

Umatilla, Florida

We will be taking a Christmas markets river cruise from Lyon to Arles, France, on AMA Waterways over Christmas. We are celebrating John's recovery from a total left ankle replacement. We also look forward to meeting dog friends in France.

Michael Faulkner

Center Cross, Virginia

Home for the holidays with Big Michael, Sadie French, Sam the Cat, family and friends. All combined with great food, drink, warm fires and music.

Mike Macbeth

Uxbridge, Ontario Canada

Surrounded by the unavoidable Christmas music in the stores and despite the inevitable well-wishers, Christmas for me will be spent alone, without any celebration. This will be the first Christmas without my beloved husband, Clancy, who died six months ago. During our 40 years together he and I enjoyed the most magical Christmases, decorating every inch of the house, planning the joyous dinners and spending time with dear friends. This year it is just too painful to participate in any festivities. But I will have my precious Dandie Dinmonts by my side to comfort me. That will be enough.

Jean Hetherington

Pleasanton, California

Spending Christmas at the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina.

Charles Olvis and Liz Muthard

Lake Wales, Florida

We plan on spending the holidays with my daughter Laurie, who is coming down to Florida to spend some time with Liz and me. Unfortunately, her husband and my grandson and granddaughter will not be able to come, but we are excited to have her spend the holidays with us. With her schedule and ours throughout the year, it’s hard to see each other. I can’t wait to spend time with her. She’s a great daughter for sure.

Inge Semenschin

Richmond, California

My holiday plans are to spend Christmas in Scotland with Kim and her family. I will spend New Years with my brothers and sister in Vienna, Austria.

Iva Kimmelman

Stow, Massachusetts

Jeffrey and I will be heading to Gettysburg for our annual trek to end-of-year ASFA lure coursing.

Or we will change our minds at the last minute if the weather is too unfriendly, and stay home, cozy and warm.

Barbara Miller

Brookville, New York

My holiday will be quiet; just me and my Norfolk and four puppies. A few friends will join me at my home Christmas Day for brunch. I wish everyone a Happy New Year filled with health and happiness.

Steven Herman

Wesley Chapel, Florida

Family, friends and food!
