The AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB HUMANE FUND has announced the winners of the 2022 SIR JOHN SPURLING OBE, KCVO SCHOLARSHIP. The recipients are VICTORIA CLAUDETTE PRIESTER and ANA LIA SULLIVAN, Cornell University; ARYEL DORCY PHILLIPS, Tuskegee University; CAITLIN PASSER, Carolina State University, and DESIRE WALKER, Rutgers University. The five scholarship winners will receive $2,500 to help pay their tuition. ...

Following the conclusion of judging at the upcoming MONTGOMERY COUNTY (All Terrier) KENNEL CLUB show, there will be a double celebration: One is for the late JACKIE GOTTLIEB, as we celebrate the life of the mother of Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, who passed away earlier this year but whose birthday always fell on the MONTGOMERY WEEKEND. I can remember years of celebratory dinners in her honor. Such a large part of the dog-show world and Terriers in particular. They don't make them like that anymore. ...

While we celebrate a life lost, we will also celebrate the 60th birthday of ANDREW GREEN. 60? When the hell did that happen? PETER must have robbed GAYNOR out of the cradle. ANDREW did inherit the GREEN GENE, and his looks belie his age. But then 60 is the new 40. The location for this dual celebration will take place at AMY & ANDREW’S motor coach on the grounds of the dog show, hosted by CINDY VOGELS, BETH SWEIGART and AMY & ANDREW GREEN. ...
